Reflecting on my past career in mattress production, I saw the potential in BOXED mattresses. Large mattresses, both coil and foam, are compressed into a box that fits in the trunk of a car. This is a game-changer. No more struggling with bulky mattresses on the top of a vehicle! And the ease of buying a mattress without the hassle of going to a store and arranging a delivery is a relief. Could my company find a niche in this market segment?
With a few hesitant first steps, I embarked on this new venture. Before I knew it, I had a source of supply, a domain, a website, and the summer help of two enthusiastic university interns. The excitement of this new journey was palpable, and it fueled our every move.
We launched the bednbox.ca website with much celebration. We’ve started with some basic models, but the future holds much more. We eagerly anticipate adding more items, including a “cool” pillow, mattress toppers, and adjustable mattress bases. Stay tuned for these exciting updates.
